From Axios - Seven women have accused New York's Democratic governor, Andrew Cuomo, of harassment and misconduct. President Joe Biden stated today that the governor should resign if the allegations prove to be true.
Biden said, "A woman should be presumed telling the truth and should not be scapegoated and victimized by her coming forward." Biden also noted that there should be an investigation to determine whether the accusations are true.
Cuomo continues denying all allegations against him and has resisted calls to resign from Democratic leaders in New York including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Cuomo is currently serving in his third term as governor of New York and will be up for reelection in 2022. New York has no gubernatorial term limits, meaning Cuomo can serve an unlimited amount of four-year terms.
