From Axios - The Council of the European Union voted on Monday to recommend a ban on non-essential travel from the U.S. due to the country's high rate of COVID-19 cases. The non-binding decision is simply a recommendation for European Union countries to decide whether to implement.
Associated Press noted that the following countries were also removed from the European Union's safe travel list: Israel, Kosovo, Lebanon, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
The United States has not yet reopened its borders to European Union tourists,
